a little luxury at low cost

It was rainy of course – well, it was a rainforest and in the rainy season! – but hotel was very pleasant, the staff very courteous and helpful, and the views spectacular when the mists lifted.
Well worth walking up the mountain – but take it slowly! The skin-eating fish are fun, though I’m sure there is no health benefit. In fact, if you’re a mole-sprinkled westerner, you make find they get more of a taste for you than you might like!

    Almost exactly as advertised!

I stayed at this resort in a room with an outdoor hot springs jacuzzi for one night in May 2007. This was an amazing stay. If you’re looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the main beach area resorts of Hainan, then I highly recommend this place. I don’t recommend it for families though because the kids would probably get bored lounging about all day since there is not much except beautiful forests surrounding the resort. Overall, this place is the epitome of tranquility and comfort–GREAT value as well! The grounds are cleaned and swept everyday and the hot springs are also drained and refilled daily. My only complaint would be that the outdoor jacuzzi had water spouts that didn’t have caps on them so they looked grimy and dirty.
